last month, when my three sisters and i were all in the same city, we made a cheese plate together (and then devoured said cheese plate in a matter of maybe 20 minutes, HA!). during my pregnancy with the twins, all i craved were cheeses that i wasn’t allowed to eat those nine months, so i’ve pretty much been making up for lost time the past three months since beatrice and madalena’s arrivals....
i just got an alert on my phone about a flood warning today in the city. and the rain banging on the outside of my air conditioner in my bedroom window as i type this sounds like someone is spilling bags of raw rice on to it. it’s LOUD. and slightly aggressive. the irony is that while this storm brought a wind chill that feels crazy cold, we were blessed with 48 hours of nothing but pure 70 degree sunshine prior to it all....
hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving yesterday! i didn’t leave our apartment once the entire day, despite putting on a dress and some lipstick! which was amazing! it was a super low key day while we just cooked a ton and lounged and played and ate and ate some more while enjoying the company of some of our family!...
we are finally beginning to feel like ourselves again over here! this whole sick thing has been no joke. and when both kids are sick, it’s hard enough. but then your husband and you as well? i mean, c’mon! let’s just be cruel now!
we have been in the apartment for so many days straight i am losing my mind....
my little sister, rachel, is married! um. that’s weird.
but anyway, the day was absolutely lovely.
the wedding ceremony (which we call a sealing
that takes place inside a temple
) was beautiful and my little sister was glowing all day long.
rachel had the fabulous amelia johnson
photograph everything… and if you’ve ever seen amelia’s work, you know that means some gorgeous images of the day are coming soon....
