having come from a family of 5 children, i haven’t known life without lots of other siblings around. while i’m the oldest, my next sister arrived when i was just 18 months old, so all of my memories and experiences very much include at least one of my sisters. growing up, there were times we were all super close, and times when we fought like mad, but for me personally, i think probably the best thing my parents ever gave us…was each other....

my brother’s piano music is out!

my younger brother isaac’s debut album was just released on iTunes! i am so so proud of him. he is such a gifted musician and composer and i had to share the news since i’ve shared snippets of his music in the past and many of you have also been excitedly awaiting this news. he is actually currently in mexico for a 2 year mission for our church, where he is focused on serving the people around him there (and not on recording his music), but he recorded the music before he left with a producer who just finished the album and posted it on iTunes yesterday....

jet skiing on the hudson!

while my siblings were in town this past week, we went jet skiing on the hudson river all around the island. i couldn’t believe how close we were to the statue of liberty and going under the brooklyn bridge on a jet ski is something else. you guys, this was so much fun.

i think josh and i had about 4 or 5 couple friends do this at different points over the summer and every time we discussed it after, they told us we needed to go… that it was one of the best things they’d done in the city!...

besides the fact that i am currently in bed this morning and feel like i’m dying (it only was a matter of time before i got what the kiddos had earlier this week…), i have all of my siblings in new york city with me this weekend and it feels good! my baby brother, isaac, leaves to serve a 2 year mission for our church in just a few weeks, so we had to do one last big adventure all together before he goes....
