well, the big and much anticipated blizzard named juno wasn’t as epic as expected, and i’m a little bit bummed about it. josh took the kids to soccer practice bright and early yesterday morning while the flurries were still beautiful and white and really coming down, but by the time i got outside in the afternoon, a lot of it had melted. ...
before baby conrad arrived last sunday morning, josh and i tried to fit in as many holiday activities as we could around the city with eleanor and samson since once the baby would arrive, we knew we’d have to take things a bit slower. it was also a nice excuse for me to force myself to get out everyday, even past my due date, and tire out my body to try to bring on labor!...
^^^watching a helicopter up in the sky! i gotta tell ya, having a toddler in tow really helps you take note of things you’d probably miss otherwise. it’s been fun to slow down and take the time to notice things like cracks in the sidewalk and clouds in the sky! we also tend to fill our pockets with every rock we come across these days....
when we lived in nyc, one of my all time favorite places for a burger and fries was shake shack.
and in May, they made their way down to d.c. opening a shack in dupont circle. we tried it out with these friends
last week and it really hit the spot. their fries are the best....
the shake shack put onions on my burger tonight.
how dare they.
husband is away at scout camp.
i probably won’t sleep tonight.
carolyn is one of the most awkward people i know.
maybe that is why we’re best friends.
i’ve decided i still don’t know what i want to be when i grow up.
but this whole stylist thing in the meantime is sure a lot of fun....
