the other day, eleanor asked if we could make pizza for lunch. we didn’t have fresh mozzarella on hand, (and normally i’d get it from the corner store, but i’m always super picky about wanting the mozzarella di bufala which is harder to get in a pinch. but it makes all the difference, i swear!) so i told her i’d put it on our grocery list and we’d make pizza together over the weekend....Read more
funny fact: when we moved back to new york city from washington DC, we started our apartment search in the west village. partly because the idea of living near joe’s pizza excited us to no end, and also because it’s just a terribly fun and charming part of new york.

for months we have been trying to make it out to see tom fruin’s stained glass house installation in brooklyn, and we finally made it happen last week! it’s lit up at night, which i’m sure is even more beautiful than a daytime visit, but it was pretty amazing even midday. if you’re in the area and haven’t had a chance yet to check it out, it’s worth it!...Read more
