mommy daughter date.

a couple of weeks ago, eleanor and i had a little mommy daughter date together. we got our nails painted at the nail salon and shared a few rice krispy treats at treat house on the upper west side.  that place is pretty cool inside. it’s like a tree house! ;)

it’s not often that it happens, but i’m trying to find more opportunities to spend one on one time with just eleanor or just samson, rather than always with both.  ...

our new dc home: the kitchen

i have lots of photos of our new place to share. i’ll start with the kitchen. i attached before and after photos to give you a little idea  of what i did. i knew the kitchen had a lot of potential  so i was most excited to start with it when we moved in.

a new wall & door.

sometimes marriage is hard. not only do you live and share everything with someone else, but you have to decide on paint colors without killing each other. if we’ve learned anything the last two years of our marriage, it’s how to compromise. so since i couldn’t convince josh to choose split pea,  and he couldn’t convince me to pick spring moss,  we settled for something in the middle,  and tequila lime is what we painted our wall this weekend....
