“samson, this is the sign you make if you want a drink of water…” she motioned with her hand while she walked beside him, their backpacks bouncing up and down hitting their backs with each stride they took. “…and this is the sign you make if you need to go potty…got it?” he mimicked her motions with the biggest smile on his face and i swear my mama heart was all sorts of bursting as i walked along side them watching and listening as eleanor gave samson the last run down on kindergarten while we walked to school yesterday morning on their first big day....

to art class we go!

last year, we enrolled samson and eleanor in one of the sweetest little art classes in the city. it was a bit of trek each week to get down to tribeca (and on time for class no less, ha!) but we had such a good experience we’ve been wanting to make it happen again.

with fall is upon us and since eleanor and samson are about to begin several classes over the next few weeks, we decided to kick it all off with a trip to our favorite children’s museum of the arts for their drop-in art class.  ...
