we’ve been spending almost every other day in central park the past couple of weeks having picnics or meeting friends or just to play games and run around. we might not have our own backyard with this city living thing, but we have central park, just a few blocks away, and it’s the next best thing.
i know lately i usually just snapchat on our picnics and park days, but on this particular day, i brought the big old camera along and i’m so glad i did. we picked up my sister hannah along the way, as well as shake shack (which obviously means BEST PICNIC EVER) and spent an hour or two in the park with bubbles and some velcro toss and catch (does that game bring me back to my childhood or what!).
these guys are cute together.
samson is always so happy to jump in and help! last night, he randomly came up to me and asked what he could do to help. that is freaking music to my ears because sometimes i feel like all i do is nag my kids to put their clothes back in the drawer or in the hamper after they wear them (i often come across the cutest little piles of outfits all around the apartment that are in the perfect shape of someone stepping out of them and leaving them right there….lol. my kids love changing their clothes maybe 3 or 4 times a day, so there are tiny piles all over sometimes!) so anyway, to hear him just walk over and ask that, it was bigger than him saying “i love you” for me. haha!
i don’t know who showed conrad how to play football, but that child loves to hug his siblings and then tackle them to the ground! i’m always like, conrad you are going to get hurt!!!! but he doesn’t seem to care, he laughs so hard as he hugs and pulls them down. lol. it’s kind of adorable.
i might be weird right now, but lately it’s just felt too hot to eat a hamburger or even my beloved crispy chicken sandwich from shake shack. but i still had to take a picture of hannah’s, because that thing is yum.
is it just our 17 month old, or do all 17 month old kiddos love pouring out water from cups and bottles and anything they can get their hands on? i can’t even believe i caught this, he’s always so fast!
when you choose to accessorize by wearing your swim goggles as a necklace. i love the way you make a fashion statement, eleanor. please don’t ever change.
also, the best thing that’s happened in the last six months is having my sister, their aunt hannah, move to new york!
with my hannah bo.
ok but seriously, who do we talk to about making these in adult sizes?! (they are from HERE, for those interested.)
bubbles never get old. and none of us can never get enough of the bubbles!
probably why they love her so much!
how beautiful is central park right now?! so green. it’s incredible.
his face here. this game is so much fun! i walked by a velcro toss and catch set when i was in duane reade the other day and i don’t think i’ve seen one of those since i was little! for someone who isn’t very sporty, this was something i could do!!!! and i loved it growing up. it’s been fun playing it with the kids! even conrad is getting it down.
good job, conrad! (don’t mind him standing so close! in baby world, that’s actually a pretty far distance. ;)
have a wonderful weekend, you guys! we are heading out to a farm this weekend and i am so excited for the kids to get to see some farm animals up close. conrad is really into making animal sounds right now and he’s perfected the cow “moo” like no other. it should be a good time.
