hello from sydney, australia! we have been trying to adjust to jumping to a time zone 16 hours ahead, especially after 36+ hours of straight travel! we’re a little bit all over the place, although i swear the kids have adjusted far better than josh and me as of now and it’s blowing my mind.

sydney has been incredible so far! we are staying with our good friends the coulsons who we just adore and it’s been so great having them show us around the city and for the kiddos to have little friends to explore with! tim, who is truly one of the most talented photographers i have ever met (he took these photos of us in new york city several years ago…), took a couple of photos of us last saturday when we took all the little ones to the sydney opera house to see a little performance (stick man! it was so good!) and i’m so thankful he did! we’ve been taking lots of our own photos and video too, but it was nice to have a few minutes to be in the photos all together with my family! thank you so much, tim.

a few of the photos below…. you follow along on my instagram and snapchat (i’m love.taza on snapchat) for more of our trip!

Loving your inputs!! I’d love to go to Australia some day! I just imagine how a flight that long would be with the little ones (our longest single fight was about 11 hours), so if you can talk about it when you have a chance, it would be great!
    Enjoy your trip!

  4. Georgia

So exciting that you’re here with us in Sydney! If you haven’t got it in your itinerary already, try and squeeze in a visit it to Taronga Zoo (you can get there by ferry, which is lovely). The kids will love it! xxx

Oh Taza! Seeing you and your sweet family in my favorite country makes me super happy (even though I do not know you in real life or anything haha). Australia is such an amazing country and I have so many fond memories from my own trips down under (the last one was July last year) so I guess with that in mind, I am happy to see other people I like have a great time down under.

Great you got locals to show you around in Sydney. Locals are definitely the best way to see the more “authentic” places of a city/country.

I have already given you heaps of recom. for Melbourne especially (where I lived a couple of years ago), but if you got time while in Sydney, you should catch the boat to the cute island Manly and walk along the beach. It is a great secret little spot in Sydney and that is definitely something Melbourne does not have the same way as Sydney (small islands surrounding the city).

    Have fun!

  17. Sydney looks absolutely amazing! We got the chance to visit Australia almost 10 years ago now and it was one of the most amazing places that we visited – though sadly we never got to visit Sydney, so I’ll just live vicariously through you guys for now haha!

How exciting to be Down Under at this time of the year, especially when it’s so cold in Europe and NY! You guys picked up the right season:) However, I must say, I am so impressed you braved such a long journey with the 3 little ones, you must have been knackered after the flights, no? Enjoy Oz. I am enjoying following your little stories and adventures! Hugs from cold London

    • TAZA

yes, was a bit rough for a while there on the flight. mostly with baby conrad. i’ll share more later, because it was an experience! not exactly looking forward to that return flight. can’t we just stay in Oz forever?!

It is definitely a great spot (lived there a number of years ago) but, as you’ll discover if you go there, it’s not secret! And it’s not an island.

  27. Allison

This is bringing back so many memories for when I was there! You guys are there at a good time! Can’t wait to see more pictures!

  28. Super entertainment place with family, enjoy lot.

  29. dylcia

How was the flight to Australia with the kiddos???? Such a long flight. Would love to know how you got them ready for it and if you have any tips to share. I have a son and would love to go to Asia but afraid of such a long flight.
