today we’ve teamed up with our longtime partner, naturebox, to giveaway a 6-month snack subscription to two lucky readers! (all the details at the end of this post!)
as the colder weather has started creeping into our shorter days, we’ve been trying to get outside as much as we can during these last few pleasant days of autumn weather before winter hits hard. rumor has it this new york city winter might be just as rough at last year’s polar vortex, which we are really excited about (just kidding. in my spare time i’m maybe researching beach homes.)
anyway, veterans day was one of those extra beautiful days where it was sixty degrees and sunny and central park was just calling our name…we packed up some snacks and blankets and took off to find a new playground. if you know me at all, you know i always have several snacks in my bag. not just because i’m a mama. i carry snacks for me, too. always have, always will. pregnant or not, i’m a girl who likes to munch around the clock. we’ve enjoyed using naturebox’s subscription based service in our home for about a year now, since they provide plenty of things to munch on, all on the healthier side, delivered to our door. the first thing we opened last week when we got this last bundle of snacks was the figgy bars. my kids woke up three mornings this week asking to have figgy bars for breakfast. what?! there is a good variety of other snacks too. i like that you get to choose which snacks are included in your box each month, so you can make sure to get your favorites and also try new things.
below, a few photos from our outing and a giveaway at the end!
^^^i’m trying to look up more. the vibrant leaves help remind me to do so. ^^^
^^^this pumpkin cranberry trail mix was real good this month!^^^
^^^we didn’t bring plates to the park, but these colorful leaves work just as well!^^^
^^^samson doesn’t like to try to go across the monkey bars, he just likes hanging from them. “let go, papa!” he says. and then he laughs so hard as if we’re tickling his arm pits while he just hangs there as long as he can! he keeps us young.^^^
^^^eleanor, eleanor, what do you see?^^^
^^^what’s up guys. we’re all in this photo! (even E’s peace sign! haha.) happy fall!”^^^
