Oh my, I absolutely love this! Is there anything sweeter?!
Those are beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
so beautiful! my upstairs neighbors in my apartment building were married for 67 years before they both passed away just recently. even in their 90s they still flirted and jacob would sing to ruth songs from their past. 67 years!!
I am so glad you posted this today of all days! I was just talking with a good friend this afternoon about how I don't really have anyone in my life who has this kind of relationship. I feel like I have no examples of a long and healthy marriage.
My parents are divorced, my husband's parents are divorced, my grandparents even got divorced….and many of my friends have parents that are also divorced. I love my husband of 2.5 years so much and I feel so lucky to be with him, but sometimes I wonder if this kind of love is even possible nowadays. This has given me so much hope for our future together! Hopefully we can break the cycle :)
I'm so privileged that with my job I'm working with older people everyday, many who have been married for a very very very long time! They are such an inspiration to me :)
I hope one day me and my husband would be in such a project! Only 49 years to go till we get to our gold anniversary or 45 from the day we became a couple!
This warmed my heart! This week my lovely grandmother passed away after 65 years of marriage to my grandfather, who I know will miss her more than anyone. She lived 85 robust and happy years, and I know that the years they had together were wonderful for them, as your post reminded me at such an apt moment.
This is so beautiful! I once was walking up a hilly street near my flat which has a lot of ground floor elevated flats that you can see into and saw an elderly couple slow dancing to old jazz around their living room.
When I saw that, and when I see things like this, I just think, "That is what I want". I want to be able to look back on a lifetime of loving somebody.
Nowadays thats somehow, 'uncool', especially in people my age (22) for whom casual is the new chic. However, that is my idea of a life well spent!
These are absolutely beautiful.
Such tender moments of long-lasting love:)

my grandparents married in august exactly 50 years ago. but i have to say that they are not this good to each other… they do love each other and they know each other. but they are not this perfectly in love, like the couples you show us on the pictures.
oh my lord. this makes me so so so happy and hopeful :)
My grandparents have been married for 60 years. It's so inspiring, love these pictures!
This makes me so happy! Thanks for sharing :)
I'm a nurse and one of my first questions to older patient's with their significant others at bedside is how long they have been together. Their stories always touch me and they always have a few words of advice. Love like this really deserves to be celebrated. What a cool photography project.

What sweet photos and how inspiring! To be with the same person for more than 50 years is such a special and magical thing that I hope we can all experience!

Oh wow.. these are beautiful. Hope M and I are so filled with love when we are that old. It gives you hope doesn't it?
This is lovely. Thank you for sharing.
Those photos are wonderful. What a great reminder that affection is amazing at any age.
The older I get, the more I respect those who are able to make such long term relationships work. It takes such energy and effort but is rewarding beyond imagination! R x

My grandparents had their 50th anniversary two years ago, it was the sweetest thing!
Since then my grandpa's been through several back operations and they'd had to move to a wheelchair-friendly apartment. It was really hard on them, so seeing them together at home, seeing them so happy to have each other, makes me happy. It's so special and lovely, and I hope that I will be lucky enough to have that same happiness with my future partner.
So sweet!! :) I love that they are real couples! — kalee @ soreyfitness.com
Cute! I'm linking to this on Facebook right now.
What an amazing project! wow! It's hard to imagine being with someone that long…yet I know someday people will be taking pics of my husband and me and saying the same thing. Pretty cool to imagine.
Such a great idea! My grandparents are married for 45 years now, 5 to go and they van join the collection. :o)
