i hope you have a joyous october weekend.
we’ll be watching {and listening online}
to general conference this weekend.
it’s something our church does twice a year
where we come together and hear our church leaders,
men & women i believe are inspired
to give us guidance and counsel.
as someone who makes mistakes daily
and has many questions, i am so thankful
for the hope, peace and answers i find through my faith.
i wish you all a beautiful weekend.
and i’ll see you monday!

I showed my husband your cute blog today and he asked why it was so popular. I told him about your quest for the best burger and he said:
"Well thats easy, tell her I already found it. It's at 5 Guys. And if 5 Guys isn't it, my boss said that the best one is at Big Judds in Ashton, ID (on your way to West Yellowstone). But I'm skeptical that it beats 5 Guys."

  5. The first weekend in October is always my favorite. I love to hear all the speakers and enrich my life with their thoughts and experiences. Hope you have a peaceful weekend as well! <3

I love General Conference! The best weekends of the year! Its great to hear the prophet, and general authorities speak. So many great things to be reminded and encouraged to do!

  20. Maggie

    I love conference.

A little off the subject, a reader request:

I, and some of my friends, would LOVE to hear the full story of how you and your cute husband met and started your relationship (instead of just the teasers) if you ever are at a loss for blog material. It wouldn't have to be terribly long… but seriously, write a book. Your blog is adorable.

  21. It sounds lovely, I hope you had a wonderful weekend.

I hope you don't mind, but I used one of your wedding pictures in my {sunday inspiration} post. If you don't want it there, just let me know and I'll take it down instantly.

  22. Hey! this is completely random of me to leave a comment. But, I love your blog! I look at it almost daily. I secretly wish I could meet you! You seem adorable. We share similar thoughts, beliefs and interests. Thanks for sharing your talent… that is being a great "blogger". Oh, I almost forgot. I couldn't agree more; Conference was wonderful, as always. xoxo.

  23. General Conference was amazing! This is the first time I have ever had been outside of Utah when it was on though so it was quite a different experience (I am on an internship in St. Thomas). I cried when Elder Perry and Elder Cook talked though! I am from Sevier County (What happens in Seveir you can tell your friends about!) then listening to Perry talk about the Mormon Miracle Pagent (which I go to every year and even saw him there this year!) and the Manti temple (which is my favorite temple) made me so homesick! I am so thankful to be in a church that no matter where you are in the world it is the same principles that are being taught! Thanks for being such an inspiration to the world through this blog and letting others know how happy life can be!

  24. Conference was inspiring. Its the first time I've ever heard it and I had the great honor of being at the conference center. Hope your weekend was fabulous
