husband bought me some frozen yogurt last night.
he made me laugh and laugh and laugh too.
and he told me i was beautiful.
then he kissed me.
i feel better.
i have a few things i’d like to say,
and once i better figure out how to articulate those thoughts,
i’ll be saying them right here.
in the meantime,
thank you for your comments and emails!

we love you.
  1. i’m glad you’re feeling better. that was very sweet of him and you are so lucky to have such a wonderful guy. i hope you have an amazing day!

  2. you are beautiful…that’s obvious.

and, my, what nice teeth you have! (sounds a bit red riding hood doesnt it?) haha

  3. Morgan

    glad you’re feeling better. xo

  4. frozen yogurt solves many of my problems. it’s expecially nice when heee’s there.

  5. it never ceases to amaze me how much a cold treat and a sweet boy can make me feel better :)

  6. We love that too(frozen yogurt, I mean)! Hoping all will sort itself in your mind. As long as you live on this planet, I think there will always be girls and guys for that matter who feel lowly about themselves and find the need to attack others to make themselves feel better. If only they knew it never really works and some karma-esque thing will always follow. Only blog if it brings you some ‘happy’, I say. If not, oh well, we enjoyed the ride so to speak. You really do have a wonderfully inspiring life though. (sorry about the ‘book” I just wrote you…eek)

  7. Corissa

  13. Jasmine

aww! you’re welcome! :) i had a lot of fun making my list and thinking about all the things i love. honestly, i’ve been feeling pretty crummy and down lately, so that helped to pull me out of it a teensy bit.

i’m glad you guys had a good time last night and that you’re feeling better. what’s better than fun, food, laughter, and love anyway?!

  14. i think the funk-bug is going around right now. i’m there, too. hang in there, miss naomi!

Aren’t husbands just the best? I don’t know what I would do without mine. No one can cheer me up faster! I hope you are adjusting to life in D.C. We have a cousin who lives there and has loved it. Thanks for your sweet blog. I love reading and it continually makes my day.

  17. Hello, this is my first time visiting your blog. My friend referred me to it bc she said you used to live in NY and know a lot of fun things to do. I’ll have to search your blog, but I’m taking a trip there at the end of this month (so less than a week away) and just barely felt the urge to get a LIST of MUST everything’s. I was wondering if you’ve ever put together a list for visiting friends/family and if you wouldn’t mind emailing it to me. If you have any time at all I would love your input. I love your style so would appreciate a focus on SHOPPING. Thank you so much! [email protected]

  18. jenna

Hurray for frozen yogurt & laughter! I am very interested to hear your thoughts, Naomi. I am really not sure what they are going to be about, but it is apparent that it is important to you that you say it, and say it like you most want it to be said.

I think you are wonderful and inspiring.
Your blogging family loves you too!

  19. CAPow

  21. Ice-cream/frozen yogurt, it’s better than a band-aid I think (esecially if it comes in a cookie-dough flavor:). I love your blog, you’re like a modern-day version of Audrey Hepburn. Thank you for your posts, and from reading all these comments I can tell that I’m not alone, you’re blog is genuine, honest and uplifting. I always feel full of hope and inspired after I visit (not to mention I’ve been experimenting more with my camera!) it’s a wonderful little place that helps me feel connected to the good things in life. Carpe diem!
