i know i have already recapped our trip to england, but i didn’t share any photos yet from our day in warwick england because i wanted to make this video to share along with the photos! josh and i were finally able to sit down and put it together last night. one of our favorite adventures together for sure! all three of our kids are so obsessed with knights and castles, it couldn’t have been a better day for them, and somehow josh and i had a great day as well (how can you not when you see your kids so very happy to be in their element.)
we started our england trip off with this first stop in warwick. the little village was absolutely adorable (as they all were) but the castle was where we spent the majority of our day together while there. a video and lots of photos below!
the poses these days just keep getting better and better with these two. haha!
wandering through a maze on the castle grounds and getting stamps in our passport book each time we found something in the maze!
this handsome boy of mine is just so beautiful.
this was after we had just eaten a picnic lunch on the grounds and eleanor kept trying to give me kisses because she had some ketchup on her face and knows how much i love it. lol. will do anything for sweet kisses from these kiddos though, even if it means getting ketchup on my cheek. haha!
these photos of the kids wrestling off their rainboots are my favorite because they seriously had the best time entertaining themselves like this on the grass while papa waited in the longest line for us to buy some hamburgers and fries from a food truck nearby. they kept taking off each other’s boots and crying from laughing so hard. i kept thinking someone was going to get hurt but we somehow managed to miss that part of the wrestling game.
lunch on the grounds!
you have to watch the part of the video where conrad is shimmying and growling as he eats his sandwich! we were dying. this kid loves his food like the rest of us and it just makes me so proud. haha!
a view from the top of the castle! see how darling this village surrounding it was?
all the activities were hysterical. we lived for it, naturally.
the castle is over 1,000 years old and was pretty fascinating to wander though.
we kept coming back to the bows and arrows because our kids (and josh, eh hem) couldn’t get enough of it (as you can see in action in the video!)
just shooting arrows with a hood on being all mysterious. samson hit so many bulls eyes we were all freaking out! (not sure if you remember any of them from my insta stories videos when we were actually at the castle! we were obnoxious everytime but just so proud!)
and then this little lady got a bulls eye as well and i’m like, “are they really city kids?!”
always fun to try to find these sorts of things that our kids are such big fans of when we travel. props to josh for doing all the research for this trip and finding this gem! reminded all of us so much of the incredible castle we wandered through when we were in switzerland last summer and the kids were dressed up like knights with conrad dressed up as a dragon! you can see the video from that day RIGHT HERE if you missed it! still one of my all time favorites and something the kids still talk about frequently.
have a great week, everyone!
