i’m so excited to share our family photos for our christmas card this year! i love how they turned out. katie rain took them at the beginning of the month on a super cold saturday morning where i tried my best to really bundle everyone up but we still felt cold (my ankles especially. will i ever learn?!) i don’t know why family photos tend to stress me out, but i felt a little anxious this round when we’re trying to get all five of us in one shot. sometimes chasing 3 kids down the street feels like you’re chasing 12, and maybe that has something to do with it. ;) but i love these photos! and am so so happy to have several great shots of all of us together!
we met up in the west village on a darling little street (it’s where i took these balloon polaroids with friends a million years ago!) and one of my favorite hidden windy streets in new york and then walked to a little cafe for some hot chocolate and happened upon a block full of christmas trees for sale where my kids were ecstatic to hide and play in the trees.
a few of my favorite images…
i love all of our faces in this one! LOL.
samson has all the cool moves! flips, jumps! this photo says it all.
i put this one on the back of our christmas card because i just love how samson’s face is poking through his faux fur hood, conrad is cracking up at probably his own knock-knock joke and eleanor has such a genuine happy smile going on, i could look at this picture all day long.
my boys hiding in the christmas trees!!!
pictures with all five of us in the frame have to be the most special images to me. i just love them so much. and i love receiving christmas cards from friends and family with pictures of their beautiful families or children because they just make me so happy. having people you love and hold dear in life is what it’s all about. so thankful for my people. and to katie rain for taking these photos for us! (especially since she lives in san francisco but always makes time when she’s in the city to take our family photos. she took the ones of us at the natural history museum, on the brooklyn bridge for christmas last year and in central park the summer before, too! so many of those old photos are also my favorites.)
