right now, there is this lingering smell of vomit on my shoulder that i can’t seem to get rid of. all three kids have taken turns experiencing a brutal stomach bug this week and i haven’t been outside in two days. it hits for just maybe a 12 hour stretch, and then they are happy and back to their regular selves, but just as we think we’ve sterilized everything and it’s left us in peace, it hits another family member....

i got to spend a good portion of my saturday with these beautiful faces crossing the brooklyn bridge in pursuit of our favorite pizza. the weather was supposed to be frigid and super windy but by noon, it was gorgeous out! we strolled ever so slowly since we didn’t have kids and strollers and even with all the walking, it truly felt like the most relaxing spa day....

our kids have been fascinated by bats for a long time! when we were in australia earlier this year, we were able to watch this huge cloud of bats for several nights on hamilton island as they’d wake up and leave the trees, and then watch them fly around catching insects with the moon as their backdrop....

i love seeing my man sporting an apron in the kitchen cooking something yummy. and what i love even more than that, is seeing all three of my boys in the kitchen in aprons cooking something yummy together! while josh loves to cook, i’m usually the one who bakes in our house, so when he took the lead in making banana bread the other morning, i was extra excited about the entire thing....
