while we were in boston last week, we went on an actual real treasure hunt with the kiddos and tried our hand at geocaching for the first time! have you guys ever done this?! i didn’t even know this was a thing until recently, but it was so much fun and we are hooked! using tech like a mobile device or gps to check your coordinates markings, you can physically explore your area and find and log geocaches (that’s what is hidden....Read more
after apple picking in the fall, what feels more festive than a pumpkin patch and corn maze?! we stopped by one on our drive home from boston to help break up the long time in the car. my girlfriend lizzie knows all the best places in connecticut and recommended castle hill farm.
i think we must have just missed the peak of the pumpkin picking season, since there weren’t many pumpkins left to choose from, but the corn maze was quite the experience because it is ginormous, and it was our family’s first time walking through one together!...Read more
i have so many photos to share from our trip to boston! we had a wonderful time, and i’m so glad we finally went. i had never been before, despite all these years of living on the east coast and always hearing the best things about the place. but everything aligned last weekend with a few days off from school for eleanor and with old friends now living in boston, so we decided it was the perfect time to go, especially with all the fall foliage basically at its peak right now (the drive alone was insane, it’s so colorful out right now.)
