strawberry picking!

high on our list of things we wanted to do together this summer was pick some strawberries! there is something about good fruit straight off the vine! we rented a car and made our way up to fishkill farms (which is just beautiful, by the way) last week and had a great time picking our own fruit, running around, seeing their chickens and enjoying the change of scenery from our typical day in the bustling city.

we made a little video while we were there. i brought our camera along assuming i’d snap some photos but then eleanor was blowing dandelion petals everywhere when we stepped out of the car and it was so cute, i started filming it. from there we just decided to keep filming. it’s fun putting little videos together every now and then.

we filmed this with our canon 6D and edited it with final cut pro. the music is a waiting game by alexander wildwood. my hat is from madewell, as are my pants.  shirt is c/o ace & jig  and shoes from kate spade.

ps. strawberry picking a few years ago when eleanor was a baby, and samson was just a few days away from being born!  ;) also, pretty film photos from that day, too.

I’ve always loved your little films!! Seeing your family grow (not only in number, but in character, too!) is just amazing. Looks like you lucked out and were pretty much the only people there, right? My sister and I went to a strawberry field on a whim last week and it was their first day open. There were only about three other people there, the sun was out and we had the best of times!

  2. What a lovely family you all are!

  3. Zejneba

It is a lovely film <3 I wondered which lens did you use for this film? Is it 50 mm?

    thanks for sharing :)

The farm looks beautiful. What a great day. Random, but would you be willing to do a hair tutorial for little ladies? I noticed Eleanor’s fab braids. My little lady isn’t quite ready to sit still, but she’s getting it, and I’d love to do more than the clips and pony holders I haphazardly throw in there every day. Thanks!

  8. Oh my – the post with little E is so cute! Those mini Hunter boots!! Love the video and seeing your beautiful fam in action!

    Warm Regards,

  12. I remeber awhile back you posted elenor saying “mommy we shpuld try that” about the braided hairstyle. And now shes rocking it all the time! Its so cute to see a little girl developing her own style at such a young age.
Also, I always thought e & s were such your little mini mes… it’s so cute to see baby Conrad look just like his dad! Does he have red hair?!

Seems like a fun, relaxing and carefree day! I can’t wait to spend a whole day being outdoors with my kids soon… My hubby and I have been real busy with our business lately and sometimes I feel so tired from it all. But knowing that we’ll be taking a break soon and that we’re working hard for our kids makes it all worth it again. :))

    Anw love your video!

This looks like so much fun! I’m a total weirdo and I don’t like any kind of berries – but I often daydream about going strawberry picking and actually eating them later! haha.

I love your videos! Always great music selections.

Early on you had a fabulous video of you and your sweet husband in DC dancing in a secret garden behind a tent. I believe it was on For You Loved Me.com.

Loved the video and the music. Where can we find it? I bet your new viewers would enjoy it too!

      Hi Sandy!

That’s very kind of you to say. It’s actually at the bottom of our About page: http://lovetaza.com/about/

We had a lot of fun thinking that video up and making it with our friends! Hope you enjoy seeing it again.
