it’s sometimes crazy for me to believe my body has already done this whole pregnancy and birth thing a couple times before.  i find it incredibly fascinating just how different each pregnancy and birth can be from the next, even when it’s the same you and your body each time.

the littles and i spent several hours yesterday at a nearby splash pad playing our tiny hearts out in the water. or the kids did at least, while mama enjoyed sitting on the warm cement nearby not doing a thing besides watching from afar. (i so appreciate this when my fatigue levels with my current pregnancy are out of this world higher than what i experienced with both eleanor and samson.)

having a two and three year old is like a dream for me this summer… no one is just learning to walk that i need to shadow, or putting weird clumps of dirt or leaves or other odd things in their mouths, and for the most part, they play nicely with each other and are at those fearless ages where making new friends everywhere we go comes easy to them....

upon a moment of mama-desperation where i let the kids each choose a pez candy dispenser at the store under the condition they stay in their stroller seats and obey mama (lol), eleanor picked out the sponge bob square pants pez dispenser.  she has no idea who sponge bob is and referred to him as “such a silly little piece of cheese!” all weekend we have been cracking up when she pulls out her “talking cheese” toy to play with....

when cheerios reached out to us about their family breakfast project, it only took one quick glance over this page before i had to know more, and felt pumped and motivated to improve our own family’s breakfast routine and traditions.  ever since the littles came along, we’ve actually tried really hard to have a good breakfast around the table together each day, and make it a meaningful time for our family to really connect before the busy day begins....
