    Hey Naomi,
I’ve read your blog since 2010 (I think?!) and have loved it more and more every year. Every once and a while I’ve read you mention not letting people “get to you” but I never actually read comments deeply enough to see what you were referring to. Tonight on Insta I read a few of those not-nice comments, and I figured I’d end my closet-blog stalking right here and now: I just want you to know if you can make a business out of celebrating and commemorating the good things in life, and there’s thousands of people who want to enjoy what you’re offering–I think that’s a beautiful thing. You add a strong, positive voice to the cultural marketplace, and I hope you don’t stop.
Happy New Year’s, and best of luck with everything.

  18. Well that was just adorable! Samson pouring the shot of juice on his face was just the cutest thing ever. Happy New Year!
    xx Lexi, Glitter, Inc.

I had to watch the Samson juice bit 5 times, pmsl. It’s the cheery smile, then disaster. Love it x

  20. ezrazoe

OMG your son dumping juice all over his face… hilarious!

  21. Ashleigh

I died when Samson spilled the shot. Adorbs!

Hi Naomi! What a cute video! I hope you had a merry christmas!

I’ve read your blog many times, but have never commented. And for some reason I just felt like commenting today just to l say thanks… A long, long time ago I gave a talk at a youth conference and was TERRIFIED to the point that I shook the entire time I gave it. I remember being mortified afterward, so embarrassed that I had given a talk shaking in front of a group of peers my own age! I cried about it afterward for days.

A few days later, I received a letter from you. You thanked me for my talked and complimented me on how well I had spoken, and I have never forgotten it. It’s been about ten years!

The reason I wanted to write this, is to thank you for that after all this time, and of course, to thank you for your blog. Several years ago in a University class I remember reading, “So much sadness exists in the world that we are all under obligation to contribute as much joy as lies within our powers.” (John Sutherland Bonnell) It takes less than five minutes to watch the news and feel a little sad about what’s going on (and maybe feel a little helpless too) and we all know life isn’t perfect, but there joy that comes from sharing joy, even if its through a blog.

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for making the internet a little bit brighter. And for that note so long ago!

  24. Such a cute film! You almost made me want to buy matching onsies hehe. Unfortunatly Christmas for us is in the Summer time and stinking hot. Hope you have a wonderful season.

    Godbless!

    Naomi and Josh,

What you are doing on this blog is important. There is so much ugly in the world that the beauty you put forth (and, anyone with a BRAIN knows that life isn’t 100% awesome all the time) is hopeful, stunning and brings such joy to my days!

I probably don’t fit your normal demographic, however, I find such joy in witnessing your family’s happy and delightful times! And, I have a very happy life, too!

    Please continue with the goodness.

Don’t listen to the critics. Don’t listen to the ugly. People who put forth the ugly comments are just that. As my Mama used to say, “Just because you are feeling ugly on the inside doesn’t make it okay to be ugly on the outside.”

Anyway—I don’t even know if you will see this.

And, just thank you. Thank you for all that you do. Thank you for sharing Eleanor’s and Samson’s sweetness. And thank you for sharing your goodness.

I hope to see more soon!

    Most Sincerely,
Maria Sager–the 45-year old happy girl who appreciates added happiness in the world!

    Dear Naomi,
If this quiet week is due to negative comments and remarks that hurt you, I just want to say: don’t care! You are such a beautiful source of inspiration for all of us, your life is so enjoyable, you are like an example for a lot of readers, I’m sure.
I am a french 20 years old student, and I can tell you that since I discoverd your blog, I can’t help smiling every day at each of your pictures and stories. And it may not be obvious, but you give a joyful image of Faith: so much love, hope and joy!
So for everything: Thank you. Continue doing what you want and love! “I am the master of my fate I am the captain of my soul” said Mandela….
Have a nice weekend, and go on with making us dream :)
