on saturday for about an hour or two, we finally had our snow storm in new york city with the biggest, fluffiest snowflakes! and it was beautiful and thrilling and so much fun because we happened to be out running errands as a family when it hit and got to walk home together in those big pretty flurries. it made me be extra obnoxious to the point that i may have pulled my groin (fuuuun) skipping and jumping the entire way home with josh. now with the holidays clearing out but freezing cold weather promising to stick around through march, i’m ready for all the snowstorms heaven wants to send me. if there are snowflakes involved, i’m pretty sure i can handle the cold a little while longer.
while we were trotting in the snow, i kept thinking, what a great way to go out with a bang, 2012! nicely done…nicely done.
it was a good year. as i’ve been reflecting on all that took place in 2012, i can’t help but sum it all up as my blessing year. the year was just so beautiful. while it sometimes felt like i was just trying to survive as i adjusted to life as a mother of two, for the most part, 2012 felt like cloud nine. this is because i was given a new miracle baby this summer and because peering into his happy and healthy face and into his older sister’s happy and healthy face each morning is the greatest gift i have received. all problems or struggles or personal issues aside, sharing the past year with my family has been nothing short of a blessing.

we were outside in those huge fluffy snowflakes too! we trekked our way from the PATH train to the east side to yunan kitchen… delicious, trendy chinese(ish) food with a great atmosphere. would be a great date night for you and josh ;) but make sure to get the mushroom rice cakes!!
